My Three Wisdom Tooth Tale

So on Friday at 9:30am I lost my wisdom teeth. I was lucky to only have 3, 2 on top and one on the bottom. The one on the bottom the surgeon told me was bigger than normal and went down by nerve. In the Panoramic x-ray it looks like my tooth goes through the nerve, so they had me get a CTSCAN to get a 3D image of it. Turns out my nerve ran along the front of the tooth, which is unusual because they usually run on the side closer to the tongue. The doctor said it should be fine, but taking the tooth out may aggravate the nerve and I would lose feeling in my lower lip for a few weeks but that it would come back with time. So the last thing I remember is having the laughing gas strapped around my nose and the nurse shoving some kind of black device in my mouth to keep it open. Then I was out. I had a weird dream about some wood panels (thats all I remember of it), and I had a hard time waking up from the anesthesia. The only other thing I remember about getting to the car is that I wanted Jenny, the brown haired nurse to walk me out. Which she did, so that was good. We made a video of me in the car. I find it enjoyable, hopefully you will too.

After this video I called Ben and told him "I lub you." It was his favorite thing. I also told him how my tongue felt dry and I wanted water. When I tried drinking water I ended up spitting it out with some blood. When I got home my mom was on the phone with my brother Nicholas, so I insisted on talking with him too. I told him about my dream with wood. That's all I remember telling him. Next my mom gave me my phone and I called my Dad. No idea what I said to him. Overall the surgery and recovery went/is going really well. I didn't get much more swollen than this.

Rock Canyon, and other updates

Here is a list of things we got accomplished this week:
  • Signed Contract and put down security deposit for apartment
  • Got Temple Recommends
  • Invitations sent out
  • Working on fixing the sealing invite card mistake
  • Met at the reception place, and figured out all details
  • Ben got his haircut
We also found time to hike the 'Y' on Tuesday. We did it at 4 o'clock, and I do not recommend that for anyone. It was so hot, and miserable. Heat+Hypoglycemia+Hiking=grumpy, weak, and sick Sami. We still got a nice workout from it though. Another thing I managed to do this past week was  get sick. This is the 4th time I have gotten sick this summer. I'm sick of it! I need to start taking vitamins. But anyways, yesterday Ben and I went hiking again! We hiked Rock Canyon yesterday. It was hot again of course, and I made Ben take it slow with me. All in all, it was a good activity. Got us outside, gave us something to do, and some exercise!
The start of the hike
Lunch! We had more than pears, don't worry!
Some cool mossy rocks

Biggest Dandelion ever!

We crossed a bridge!
So hot and tired. Can we make it?
We found water!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was nice and cold. Felt so good!
We drenched our heads in it. So refreshing!
We then went exploring around the stream, and found this really cool crack. So we climbed it! You can't tell, but it was a really cool crack!
While we were exploring, we found this lovely huge creature! Really cool color, but still creepy.
Final picture before we trekked back down to the car!

The 24th of July

On Saturday, AKA Pioneer Day, Ben and I went to my parents' house. It started out with Ben helping my dad outside with the yard while sat in front of the computer printing address labels for our invitations. It was a blast let me tell you!
Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner of hamburgers. Next we watched the movie The Lovely Bones. The book was much better. I thought the movie was a little weird. So after watching a movie about a guy murdering girls, we decided to go blow up some fireworks! Ben had bought them the night before, and was excited to use them. We had a lot of fun lighting off sparklers, crackle balls, strobes, nuclear reactor, and some other stuff. Oh and Ben and also had a few duels! He won. I couldn't get my gun thing to work, so technically I could be dead. The neighbor kids also joined us about halfway through and LOVED the fireworks.

After fireworks, we watched ANOTHER movie, Love Happens. I hear it ended good, but I fell asleep. On the wedding front, everything is pretty much planned and ready to go! Invitations went out on tuesday! Only 22/23 (depending on how you count it) more days!

Bridal Veil Falls

Yesterday Ben and I wanted to do something adventurous. So I suggested we go hike to Bridal Veil Falls! It was pretty much the shortest hike ever, but the waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! It was both of ours first time being there. It was a ton of fun.
Here we are at the beginning of the hike!

We hiked up this steep treacherous rocky terrain. One wrong step and you could plummet to your death.

The waterfall!!!

Us in front of the rocks
Trying to get the waterfall in the background... fail.

So pretty!

Yep, didn't read the bottom half of the sign...

So we continued to climb, play, and take pictures!

We love waterfalls... and each other!

I liked the moss...

Cute Little Hiker Ben!
Awe!
Dangling our feet in the pool at the bottom!
Ben took this one.
It was soooo cold!
