The 24th of July

On Saturday, AKA Pioneer Day, Ben and I went to my parents' house. It started out with Ben helping my dad outside with the yard while sat in front of the computer printing address labels for our invitations. It was a blast let me tell you!
Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner of hamburgers. Next we watched the movie The Lovely Bones. The book was much better. I thought the movie was a little weird. So after watching a movie about a guy murdering girls, we decided to go blow up some fireworks! Ben had bought them the night before, and was excited to use them. We had a lot of fun lighting off sparklers, crackle balls, strobes, nuclear reactor, and some other stuff. Oh and Ben and also had a few duels! He won. I couldn't get my gun thing to work, so technically I could be dead. The neighbor kids also joined us about halfway through and LOVED the fireworks.

After fireworks, we watched ANOTHER movie, Love Happens. I hear it ended good, but I fell asleep. On the wedding front, everything is pretty much planned and ready to go! Invitations went out on tuesday! Only 22/23 (depending on how you count it) more days!

Bridal Veil Falls

Yesterday Ben and I wanted to do something adventurous. So I suggested we go hike to Bridal Veil Falls! It was pretty much the shortest hike ever, but the waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! It was both of ours first time being there. It was a ton of fun.
Here we are at the beginning of the hike!

We hiked up this steep treacherous rocky terrain. One wrong step and you could plummet to your death.

The waterfall!!!

Us in front of the rocks
Trying to get the waterfall in the background... fail.

So pretty!

Yep, didn't read the bottom half of the sign...

So we continued to climb, play, and take pictures!

We love waterfalls... and each other!

I liked the moss...

Cute Little Hiker Ben!
Awe!
Dangling our feet in the pool at the bottom!
Ben took this one.
It was soooo cold!

Accessorize!

So last weekend, Ben and I were at the mall in Icing, a Jewelry store. Ben thought it would be fun to 'accessorize' me. Here i am, what do you think? I think he has a career here!

That weekend we also went and saw Despicable Me, in 3d! It was so good!!! We recommend you go see it!

This Past Week

So this past Monday (and the weekend before that), Ben and I helped babysit my friend from High School's puppy. She is a Red Coonhound named Kaiya. She is super cute, and has lots of little sharp teeth that she LOVES using. She also peed a lot in the house, so that was fun to clean up. On Monday Ben and I took her with us to the Freedom Festival on Center Street. It was really hot that day, so she got pretty worn out quickly. She lasted about 45 minutes top, then we took her home so she could rest and cool off. Then Ben and I went back and got some yummy food! After that we went and saw How to Train your Dragon at the Dollar Theater. It is a great movie, and I would recommend it to everyone!

This week I was also finally able to pick out bridesmaid dresses, finalize colors, and it feels great!!! For anyone wondering, these are my colors!

On Friday night, Ben and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Outback Steakhouse (thanks for babysitting Kaiya). Then we watched Princess and the Frog and made countdown paper chains for our wedding! Only 39 more days to go!!!

Saturday was also a WONDERFUL day! Ben and I went to the pool, then got ready, went to Sonic, then we went to Allen's Tuxedos. We found tuxes for Ben and the dads for a great deal! Then we even registered at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond (you can find our list on their websites :). When we got home we took naps, then went to the store and got stuff to make Salsa. While we made dinner we even waltzed in the kitchen. It was really fun.
