Family Fun

This past week has been full of family events! I'll start with last saturday. My Dad got a bonus at work, so he took everyone out to the Cheesecake Factory! It was delicious, and we all certainly stuffed ourselves.

Then on Thursday, Taylor graduated from Westlake High School! Her graduation was in the Marriott Center at BYU. Our Grandma Riley, and Grandpa and Grandma Green came from Colorado for it! After it we went to my Parent's house to celebrate, and Becky and her girls came up as well.

On Friday, I worked a long and tiring 12 hour shift, and my brother and I ended up being an hour and half late to the Eagle Mountain Rodeo! There was still Barrel Racing and Bull Riding left, so it was okay. We met Ben, my Dad, Taylor, and Grandpa Green there. It was really fun except that it was really windy and I didn't bring a jacket! Luckily Ben gave me his, but then he was cold, so I had to warm him up :-)

Sunday we celebrated Nicholas's 23rd Birthday! Which is actually today... so Happy Birthday Nicholas! It was cute, Becky's girl's Abby and Brianna wanted to be part of the big day! They helped him open all his presents.

Weekends are what I LIVE for!

So both Ben and I have kind of crazy schedules. Ben works 7am to 3pm-ish and then has classes. I work from 1pm to 7pm, most days (some days- like Fridays- I work all day). Therefor we don't get to see each other until about 7:30 Monday through Friday, and because Ben, and even myself sometimes, have work early, we generally (we as in Ben) go to bed at about 10:30pm. Because of all this, we have come to LOVE the weekends. It is what we live for.
This past weekend was a total blast! Friday after I got home from a long day of work, I got all dressed up and Ben and I went to a wedding reception! It was for Cameron Stelter, my brother's best friend, and coincidently Ben's ride to school every morning during High School! My brother was the best man, so it was fun to see him there too.
After the reception, we went to Ben's old High School, and he gave me a mini tour. It was cute, seeing Ben remember everything and seeing where he went to School. We also went to the football field/track that he played on. I enjoyed going to down memory lane with him.
On Saturday morning Ben came over for breakfast, then we watched a little TV and took a nap. When we woke up we went on a bike ride to a park where we threw a football and a frisbee around. It was a lot of fun. Then we went to the pool for a couple of hours and lounged around in the sun and the water. It felt soooo good! I could have laid out there forever! However- we were both starving, so we got ready then went and had a lovely time trying to get Ben's truck jumped (it had died during work Friday due to Ben leaving his lights on :), and in between going grocery shopping. Then we FINALLY made it to Cafe Rio, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. After dinner, we went to Color Me Mine, a pottery place, and Ben painted a mug, and I painted a bowl. It was super fun. We were there for 2 and a half hours painting away and totally in the zone! We get our stuff on Thursday and I can't wait to see how they turn out!

On Sunday after church, we had a picnic in the same park we went to the day before. It was delicious. After we ate we laid on my blanket and just relaxed. It was fun!
(I love Ben's face in this one...he didn't know I had taken it already:)

All in all, it was a GREAT weekend, and I can't wait for this next one! Also, i love Ben!
